Environmental pressure increases the speed of the reshuffle process in the compound fertilizer industry

The report demands that we continue to promote pollution prevention and control, and consolidate and expand the achievements of the blue sky defense war. This year, the emission of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides will be reduced by 3%. The air pollution control of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the surrounding Yangtze River Delta and the Yan-Ping Plain will continue to be strengthened, and the three major pollution sources of industry, coal-fired and motor vehicles will be strengthened. Strengthening the prevention of water and soil pollution, this year's chemical oxygen demand and ammonia nitrogen emissions will drop by 2%.

In 2017, it has achieved full coverage of 31 provinces across the country; in 2018, more than 200 inspection teams have been dispatched to carry out net-type inspections, especially for coal-fired boilers that are not in place for “disintegration” enterprises. Issues such as unresolved, unpolluted pollution control facilities, and excessive discharges were discovered and handed over together. In 2019, at the National Ecological Environmental Protection Work Conference, Minister of Ecological Environment Li Ganjie said that China will complete the second round of central ecological environmental protection inspectors and “look back” in four years.

As we all know, the pollution of compound fertilizer is mainly waste water, dust, air pollution, etc. Some enterprises that use phosphate ore as raw materials also have the problem of stacking and processing of phosphogypsum, and the dechlorination process also involves hydrochloric acid. Starting from 2016, with the increase of the frequency of environmental protection inspections, the limited production and parking phenomenon of compound fertilizer plants will increase, and the equipments that do not meet the standards will require more rectification and new environmental protection equipment; for pollution, in the Taihu Lake and the Yangtze River basin, etc. Many installations require relocation and industrial parks. According to incomplete statistics, in 2018, in major enterprises, the production capacity of the equipment that was not normal and has been parked for more than 3 months has exceeded 3 million tons.

　　The compound fertilizer has a large production capacity, but the effective utilization rate is low. With the advancement of environmental protection, it is conducive to accelerating the withdrawal of backward production capacity and promoting the acceleration of the industry reshuffle process, thereby promoting the healthy development of the compound fertilizer industry.
